Once my friend Amy acquired the historical Washington Hotel along the serene Stanislaus River with the goal of creating a riverfront wedding venue, I was absolutely captivated by the idea. The charming small mining town of Knights Ferry, California, with its gold rush history and vibrant spring wildflowers, made the perfect canvas for a picturesque wedding location. We knew this untouched countryside gem could be every bride’s dream, so we decided to plan a styled shoot to showcase its natural beauty and create a truly unforgettable experience.

Knights Ferry holds a captivating history dating back to the Gold Rush era, which adds to the charm of the shoot location. The Washington Hotel, a treasured historical gem with lush lawns and a picturesque riverfront, became the focal point of our creative journey. We gathered talented local vendors and a real couple deeply in love to curate a vibrant and joyful celebration that incorporated the latest colorful wedding trends.

Ursula looked radiant in her Martina Liana gown, style 1488, adding an enchanting touch to the shoot. With a captivating bouquet and stunning table arrangements, the scene came to life, showcasing a rustic and organic charm.

Using a real couple instead of models brought an undeniable romantic aura to the photos, making every moment genuine and heartfelt. One of my favorite moments was capturing the couple’s love in the beautiful Knights Ferry Recreation area with its breathtaking 360-views.
