If you like Star Wars, Disney, sitcoms that make you laugh (like the Office or New Girl) then we’re gonna have a ball together! When I’m not drinking obscene amounts of coffee, or eating tacos from the Taco Stand (if you’ve never eaten there and live in So-Cal then we need to change that, pronto), you will probably find me on the banks of a river casting trout bait, or more likely, chasing my 3 kiddos around a campsite! I love exploring new places and taking my camera along for the ride. Adventure is out there! Let’s go find it together!
Hey, I’m Salisha!
As your photographer, my biggest goal is to make your experience fun and stress-free! I've traveled all over the state of California, and even gone as far as Hawaii for elopements, so I'm confident I can help you find some amazing spots for your elopement, no matter where you want to go. I currently reside about an hour outside Yosemite National Park, but I love capturing elopements in San Diego, Big Sur, Hawaii, Northern California, and all the sweet spots in between. Since the mountains and west coast are my home, and I have lived in both Santa Cruz and San Diego, I've got a lot of knowledge when it comes to photographing and eloping in the Golden State.

I wasn't quite sure how to plan something in the mountains, I didn't know the rules and regulations, how to coordinate it, plan my day, and it was still pretty stressful planning something like this without much help. However, it was incredibly freeing, unique, intimate, and an overall wonderful experience and I couldn't imagine getting married any other way. I thought to myself: why don't more people get married like this? Surely there are more people like me, who aren't keen on throwing a big party, spending money on dinners and decor for hundreds of people, and really just want to spend intentional and intimate time with the person who matters most. After planning my own elopement, I knew I could use my knowledge and expertise to provide a unique and adventure-filled experience to elopement clients. I want to help make this process as easy as possible for you both, so that you don't have to white-knuckle it the way I did!
when I began planning my own elopement back in 2018, I knew from my experience as a wedding photographer, that a traditional wedding wasn't right for me.
When I was just 7 years old, my dad gave me his old yellow Minolta 110 film camera to play around on. I loved adventuring around the woods where I lived taking photos of the flowers and trees, and from there my passion grew. I studied more film and digital photography in college, and eventually when I become a mom, I took the leap into wedding photography, to spend more time with my kids at home, and I've never looked back!

Salisha’s talent and attention to detail is beyond words incredible! Her communication during the planning process was so amazing and made everything stress-free leading up to the big day! Salisha also knows her way around Maui which was such a relief to us since it was our first time on the island.
All the photos turned out better than I could’ve ever imagined! She made all of our visions and dreams come to life even better than we had hoped. Plus, Salisha is extremely comfortable to shoot with and felt like apart of our family during all of it, so our private vows still felt extremely intimate. I would recommend her to anyone for anything, but especially Maui elopements!

Puzzled by the Permit Process?
Finding the perfect elopement location is my jam, seriously! One of the favorite parts of my job is connecting couples with their ideal elopement location. I even provide Yosemite couples with a 50-page Yosemite Location Guide, and am currently working on creating resources for other areas as well!
Not sure where you want to elope?
I'm an ordained officiant—which means I can sign your marriage license (in most U.S. states) so you can keep your elopement as intimate as possible, write your own set of vows and do it your way!

If you’re not stressing about your dress getting a bit dirty and are ready to roll with whatever comes your way, we’ll vibe perfectly! I thrive on your energy and love capturing genuine moments. If you’re looking for perfectly polished shots, I might not be your go-to. But if you’re up for teaming up to create photos that tell your unique story, I’d be thrilled to work with you!
