Hey, I’m Salisha!

If you like Star Wars, Disney, sitcoms that make you laugh (like the Office or New Girl) then we’re gonna have a ball together! When I’m not drinking obscene amounts of coffee, or eating Al Pastor tacos, you will probably find me on the banks of a river casting trout bait, or more likely, chasing my 3 kiddos around a campsite! I love exploring new places and taking my camera along for the ride. Adventure is out there! Let’s go find it together!

Based in California, but will travel anywhere

As your photographer, my biggest goal is to make your experience fun and stress-free! I've traveled all over the state of California, and even gone as far as Hawaii for elopements, so I'm confident I can help you find some amazing spots for your elopement, no matter where you want to go. I currently reside about an hour outside Yosemite National Park, but I love capturing elopements in San Francisco, San Diego, Big Sur, Hawaii, Northern California, and all the sweet spots in between. Since the mountains and west coast are my home, and I have lived in both Santa Cruz and San Diego, I've got a lot of knowledge when it comes to photographing and eloping in the Golden State.

when I began planning my own elopement back in 2018, I knew from my experience as a wedding photographer, that a traditional wedding wasn't right for me.

When I planned my own mountain elopement, I had no idea where to start. The rules, the logistics, the timeline... it was a lot, and honestly, kind of overwhelming. But even with the stress of figuring it all out, it turned out to be one of the most freeing, intimate, and meaningful experiences of my life. I remember thinking, Why don’t more people get married like this? Not everyone wants a big party or to spend thousands on table settings and chicken dinners. Some of us just want to soak up the day with the person who means the most. That’s why I do what I do. After going through it myself, I realized I could use the knowledge I gained in planning my own elopement to help couples have that same magical, stress-free experience—minus the confusion I went through. It all began with a yellow camera

When I was just 7 years old, my dad gave me his old yellow Minolta 110 film camera to play around on. I loved adventuring around the woods where I lived taking photos of the flowers and trees, and from there my passion grew. I studied more film and digital photography in college, and eventually when I become a mom, I took the leap into wedding and elopement photography, and I've never looked back! There's something magical about documenting the intimate moments shared between two people who are madly in love with each other.

I'm an ordained officiant—which means I can sign your marriage license (in most U.S. states) so you can keep your elopement as intimate as possible, write your own set of vows and do it your way!

Finding the perfect elopement location is my jam, seriously! One of the favorite parts of my job is connecting couples with their ideal elopement location. I even provide Yosemite couples with a 50-page Yosemite Location Guide, and am currently working on creating resources for other areas as well!
